They say the sweetest sound in the world is your name and for Canadian actor Ryan Reynolds, the name Violet is not cool sound to hear, well at least for his new-born baby. The actor denied the rumor that her daughter with wife 28-year old Blake Lively named after a color.
Reportedly, the two former Green Lantern co-stars welcomed their first child late December. But till now they are not sharing much of information about their baby, including its name. Apparently, their baby name rumor came from a tweet, which is now deleted.
"No, that's not the name. I don't want to get into that but I don't know where that came from," a brief but upfront statement of 38-year old actor in his interview with USA Today.
While downplaying the baby's part, The Voices star openly shares his new journey as a father and what he particularly dislikes the most is the sleep deprivation.
"I don't sleep very much. It's great. It's wonderful. But my brain is elsewhere," the once People's Sexiest Man Alive said. "It's still so new that it's hard to conceive being away for more than seven hours at a time. I had to go to Sundance this last week. I was more excited to get a good night's sleep. It was borderline pornographic for me."
Meantime, when the actor who's also busy promoting Mississippi Grind appeared on 'Late Show with David Letterman' on Wednesday he gamely shared what's the story behind keeping their baby's name.
"We definitely [have a name]. I threw out the idea of just never naming the kid to be totally original, but, no, we have a name," he said. "I don't want to say it in a media context - I tell everyone who I meet, so it'll come out."
Ryan also added that fatherhood made him realized things such as love for his wife, whom he called the most beautiful Human Denny's.
"I used to say to her, 'I would take a bullet for you, I could never love anything as much as I love you.' And then the second I looked in that baby's eyes, I knew in that exact moment if we were ever under attack, I would use my wife as a human shield to protect that baby ... you can quote me."
