Reality TV star and fashion icon Kim Kardashian West can't seem to get over her fascination with everything mermaid!
The Armenian-American bombshell drew mostly positive reactions over the red crop top with matching floor-length skirt and heavy gold jewelry she donned at Roc Nations Grammy Brunch in Beverly Hills. US Weekly called Kardashian, in her off-beat outfit "striking." It seemed to have meant this in a most positive way!
There were, apparently, those who thought that there was more "fantasy" than "reality" in Kardashian's outfit-some going as far as to say that the 34-year old Mrs. West had succeeded in pulling-off a flavor that was uniquely regal Mermaid!
E News flat out said that Kardashian looked like a mermaid princess as she attended the pre-Grammys brunch with rapper and husband Kanye West. It could be forgiven to say so, considering her long skirt tightly hugged everything from her waist to her legs and then flared generously as it touched to floor.
Her shackle-like bracelets and winged choker only seemed to exaggerate the "under the sea" look.
However it would seem that Kardashian has long been drawn to the mermaid look. It can be recalled that she dressed as a blonde mermaid during Halloween 2012. This look was apparently a nod to the 1984 smash hit Splash, starring Daryl Hannah.
During Kim's wedding with Kanye, her second in less than two years, half-sisters Kendall and Kyle Jenner also wore white mermaid bridesmaid dresses.
Reports have it that the Wests were all smiles as they mingled with other celebrities during the star-studded brunch.
Kim, along with her sisters, has recently been drawn into a string of controversies involving her ex-step dad Bruce Jenner. Olympic gold medalist Jenner's divorce form Kim's mom, Kris, will reportedly be finalized next month. However, it is Jenner's supposed ongoing gender transition that has grabbed everyone's attention. Without confirming or denying his reported transition, Kim and her sisters have maintained that they support him on his "journey."
