A new character is also going to be welcomed in the series for this year.

As Yahoo reports, Oliver Platt will be joining the cast of "The Good Wife" and will play as R.D. His character for the show remains as a secret but is described as "an intelligent, approachable and politically conservative businessman who loves a civilized argument with a worthy opponent and has a passion for hunting." His character, being strong and dominant will definitely be a threat to all the male characters in the series.

While the shows embrace recent and new characters this season, Archie Panjabi who plays the character of Kalinda Sharma will bid farewell to fans in this season. As her contract expires by the end of the season, she clearly expressed her intentions of not renewing for the show anymore. How her character leaves the show would be an interesting twist the writers could take advantage of in this season. Archie Panjabi, an award-winning actress is also said to be starring in a new Fox drama show, an allegedly another reason that lead to her decision of leaving the show..
