Are porn stars secretly relationship geniuses? Traditionally, society gets its relationship advice from official sources- therapists, marriage counselors and advice columnists. But all that might be in the past. A recent video from Buzzfeed (via The Independent) asked several noted porn stars for their best relationship advice, and while some of it is pretty sexual (obviously), there's a lot of geniune truth here.
Buzzfeed got five pornstars on camera for their relationship questionnaire- James Deen, Allie Haze, Milcah Halili, Paris Kennedy and Jamie Wilde were all asked multiple questions about love, life and sex. Some of the key questions were "What makes people compatible?" "What's the key to a healthy relationship?" and "How do you rejuvenate a relationship?"
Sex is obviously number one on many of these porn stars' minds- to keep relationships healthy, most of them suggested something that's done in the bedroom. Say, a woman buying sexy lingere to surprise her partner with, or a couple trying out kinky sex. Kennedy just told couples to watch porn together- an instant-cure all, apparently.
As for what makes people compatible, Haze argued that it was "The willingness to adapt to each other," while Kennedy said it was "being able to listen to each other." Deen though the best judge of a couple's staying power was if they "balance each other out."
Haze has some pretty strong life advice in general, for anyone who might be getting into a new relationship: “You definitely need to be confident in yourself before you drag other people along with you because you never want to drag anybody down. It's all about bringing people up!”
Society might not ask much of porn stars beyond their willingness to have sex with each other on camera, but if there's ever a nationwide relationship counselor's strike, it looks like we'll know where to turn.
