Announcement of X-Men Apocalypse, the latest X-Men film movie fans should look forward to, continue to make headlines. Set to hit theatres next year, avid X-Men fanatics are getting over excited now. Director Bryan Singer definitely knows this and so he teases us with small hints about the new film.

On his Instagram account, Singer posted a photo of him on what looks like an X-Men movie set. Behind him is a familiar looking "X" emblazoned round door that suggests a part of the X-Men headquarters. An article on collider.com suspects that the door could lead to Professor X's Cerebro or The Danger Room where the X-Men practice on simulated dangerous situations to better develop their skills. People who have seen the X-Men films have had a glimpse of both rooms in previous X-Men movies, but here's hoping to see something new and different since Bryan Singer captioned the photo: "I know. Old door. But there'll be something new behind it. #XmenApocalypse".

Another exciting news to this new X-Men movie is the return of veteran actor Ian McKellen as Magneto. A report from comicbook.com made it clear that the initial rumours about Ian McKellen not being a part of X-Men Apocalypse is not true at all. Ian McKellen will reprise his role as Magneto though we can't predict yet as to what the story of this new movie will make of his character.

The X-Men is definitely one of Marvel's most sought after franchise. Fans have seen the animated TV series, they have read the comic books, and they have surely watched the movies. The big screen has spawned several takes on the franchise and X-Men fans around the world definitely consumed all of it. Moviegoers can't seem to get enough X-Men and the studios know it with the numbers to prove it.

The last take on the franchise, X-Men Days of Future Past, grossed more than $748 million around the globe according to boxofficemojo.com. Those figures were enough to make the Fox studio executives decide to give us another take on this very successful movie franchise.
