David Beckham still pays respect to Kanye West and says he did not take any grudges against the Hollywood star. The rapper surprises everyone with his stage-crashing scene when Beck's on his way to give his acceptance speech upon winning "Best Album of the Year" at the 57th Grammy's on Sunday.
Ifpress reported that the 44 year-old musician does not take any offense insult to Kanye's action, though many people was surprised with the stage-crashing scene
Even though the rapper did not vocally humiliate Beck's speech, the latter was stunned when he saw him and could not say anything. He even asked Kim Kardashian's husband to join him on stage due to absence of words.
"I was just so excited he was coming up. He deserves to be onstage as much as anybody. How many great records has he put out in the last five years, right?" Beck said in a post-show interview with Us Weekly.
MTV.UK reported that the 44 year old Grammy winner also added that he cannot please everybody.
"You can't please everybody, man. I still love him and think he's genius. I aspire to do what he does." Beck said.
On the other hand, in a post press conference interview, the rapper admitted that the stage-crash was intended to announce his opinion that Beyonce deserves the award better than Beck. He even said that he's just holding his words on the live telecast and waited for it to finish before saying anything.
"Beck needs to respect artistry, he should have given his award to Beyonce. At this point, we tired of it." Kanye said.
When asked about Kanye's opinion over his victory, Beck agreed that Beyonce deserved to win the award. He even admitted he did not expect to get it.
"I thought she was going to win. Come on, she's Beyonce!"
Back in 2009, Kanye reportedly ditched Taylor Swift's acceptance speech at the Video Music Awards, making her hold grudges against the rapper. After six years, the two were spotted in a picture together at the Grammy's last Night, suggesting that they already settled their issues.
