In the recent episode of "Sister Wives", a closer look on how Meri, Janelle, Christine and Robyn interact with each other together with their children is being observed by a group of anthropology students. How they get along with each other and how the co-exist with their unlikely situation is a question that intrigues the group.
As the anthropologist students decide to really get into the lives of this odd family, they are welcomed by Kody with what seems to be a "showoff" personality. He believes that the group has hit the jackpot by choosing his family to perform their study. The kids on the other hand seem to be feeling a little bit awkward with the situation and the prying eyes that will observe them all throughout the endeavor. Their opinions were kept to themselves as Kody lays out his house rules to the students.
A trip down history about polygamy and monogamy was initiated by Kai together with the group and is not so ordinary family. Monogamy seems to be a norm and polygamy a taboo for many according to Richard which made Kody feel a little bit disappointed.
Meanwhile, it seems like the "union" is already doing fine with their existence. Legal marriage never comes in mind and the "lovers" sees no importance in having this in their union.
To make things feel even weirder, the group of students were forced to spend dinner while watching the four wives take turns feeding Kody from their plates. Antoinette rather sees this as amusing and sees the closeness of the wives as something enjoyable to watch.
The latest episode of the series is entitled "All About Robyn". A closer look on how Robyn was swept off her feet by Kody and how he accepted all her children from an earlier relationship is what seems to be the winning factor that made her agree to function in this one of a kind relationship. Robyn was not the type to judge the current lifestyle of the family and seems to be convinced that sealing her relationship with Kody via an intimate kiss is more than enough to function and live just like a normal family in this peculiar union.
The students were advised to identify the functions of the wives in the family. Who is the loved wife? Who is the wife whom Kody enjoys spending intimate moments with? A student is also placed in a rather unlikely situation when she is forced to fake a relationship with someone else to thwart Kody's advances. Observations on whether a new wife is about to be added into the new family is something the students are supposed to look into in as well.
