Uncharted 4: A Thief's End Character Designer Gives Thoughts about Game Rendition Close to Actual Movies

By

Uncharted 4 A Thief's End is said to be the most realistic looking video game Naughty Dog has to offer by far, regardless of its amazing history. According to the game's lead character Frank Tzeng, the game graphics is going to get better, and that Nathan Drake is already good enough to be in a movie.

He added that the level of graphics in video games has escalated to a level that the clarity of every detail is "really close to film," as he said.

Naughty Dog is regarded for its stunning visuals. However, it seems that for its latest title in the Uncharted franchise, the developer is actually stepping their game up. In one interview, Tzengi showed off models he has designed for the Uncharted 4 A Thief's End. He explained his thoughts about video games, as well as how they could achieve the movie quality graphics. Tzeng also described how computer renditions could act as a digital double in a film with the best of quality, detail, blend shape, and color.

"Everything that we put on the character is basically a film character to me. So to me, videos games are getting really close to film quality, and this is exactly what I wanted to do," Tzeng explained.

With the artist's passion in developing video game characters as real as they could be, it won't be long until more artists would imitate Tzeng's style, and will eventually apply such skill in making blockbuster films as well.

More details will be out soon about Uncharted 4 A Thief's End since the game is in the works and is set to be released on PlayStation 4 later this year. No mention of the game being released on other platforms. Then again, if the artist says that the graphics is that close to actual movies, then it's probably a game worth playing, or worth the wait for that matter.
