Despite her pregnancy, Duchess of Cambridge Kate Middleton visits a hospital for kids suffering from mental problems on Monday.
According to Daily Mail, the expectant mom scheduled a private visit at the Bethlem and Maudsley Hospital School in Beckenham, Kent. The school helps children (ages 4-19) who are suffering from mental illness. Those kids are also patients of the Bethlem or Maudsley Hospitals.
The Duchess stayed for an hour and a half in school, meeting with the children and the school staff.
The private visit was scheduled through Place2Be, a nonprofit organization that provides mental health services to children.
The Royal Palace said that the Duchess was inspired to help the kids and know more about the school after attending the Place 2 Reflect conference last year. Since then, the Duchess has been involved in providing early intervention for children before mental problems escalate. As reported by Mirror, Kate had been helping the organization since 2013.,
Kate's private visit to the school first appeared in the Court Circular - the daily list of royal engagements as it was not publicized.
Meanwhile, in a previous report of Venture Capital Post, the royal couple confirmed a good news: the Duchess is having a baby girl.
"Kate and William found out they were expecting a girl during the 21-week scan, and since then, everyone's been asking what they plan to name her," an unnamed insider told OK!Magazine.
Prior to the announcement, speculations about the baby's name have flooded. Names like "Mary" or "Elizabeth" have been flying around but, the royal couple said they will name their princess after Prince William's late Mom "Diana".
"Having a baby girl who carried her name will be a beautiful reminder of Diana every time he looks at his daughter." A palace insider said.
Prince George's mom will reportedly deliver her baby at St. Mary's Hospital in London.
