Publisher 2k has announced that Borderlands: The Handsome Collection set for release date on March 24 offers Borderlands 2, Borderlands: The Pre-Sequel and all downloadable content for both to PlayStation 4 and Xbox One for $59.99 a piece.
These two HD games debut on current-gen consoles and players can transfer their saves from previous-gen consoles within the same console family. On PS4 and Xbox One consoles, Borderlands 2 and The Pre-Sequel will be updated using a new 4-player split screen local multiplayer option.

As reported, Gearbox get their hands on bringing Borderlands 2 and The Pre-Sequel to the current generation consoles with Borderlands: The Handsome Collection and featuring both of the games a remastered to a 1080p resolution for the PS4 and Xbox One other than including all previously released DLC content.
The company is also partnering with Telltale Games for Tales From the Borderlands and working on other endeavours like 'Battleborn' game.
The new 'Borderlands 3', on the other hand, which Gearbox CEO Randy Pitchford took to Twitter to hire for, is under ways strictly for Xbox One, PS4 consoles as confirmed by Take Two president Karl Slatoff.
This has been announced during an earnings call and to an extent frustrates previous gen owners since Borderlands 3 will not be released for Xbox 360 and PS3.
Other than that, there are no further reveals as to the Borderlands 3 release date or other details so far, thus, the new main title to the franchise might take a while. It's also common to speculate that more information will be announced at E3 2015?
