It seems that Marvel and Sony has another reason why they are replacing Andrew Garfield to be 'your friendly neighborhood'. Speculations about Marvel sending Peter Parker back to High School in the new Spider Man movie had been circling around the headlines in the superhero world, making the 31-year-old actor a little bit ancient to play a teenage high school boy.
Eversince the announcement on Monday that Sony is sharing their rights with Spider Man films to the original owner of the franchise, Marvel, they are looking to reset the button bringing Spidey back to being an awkward teenager, with larger-than-life powers.
According to the report of Variety, Peter Parker may have graduated in the last franchise of the superhero, 'The Amazing Spider Man 2', the setting of the new upcoming film will put him back in high school's awkward stage. It will reveal Parker's relationship with his peers while fighting crime outside the classroom.
The superhero that was played by actors, Andrew Garfield and Tobey Maguire, will be having a younger face under the mask of the wall-crawler to suit the high school setting of the film according to Mirror.
Many names had been considered by Sony and Marvel, but the two actors reported to be on top of the list are Percy Jackson's Logan Lerman and The Maze Runner's Dylan O'brien.
The two production companies might be looking for a new actor to fill the role, but first they have to look for a new director to replace Marc Webb as film starred by Garfield.
Although Marvel and Sony had plans to take Spider Man back in High School, there are also reports that the studios could also be introducing Miles Morales, the Black-Hispanic teenager who takes over the role of Peter Parker being Spider Man after Parker's demise in the comic book series of Marvel.
Picking the right actor would be crucial for Sony as Marvel had already announced that the web-slinger would be included in 'Captain America:Civil War' that would be release in 2016 before releasing Spidey's solo franchise in 2017.
