The famous web-slinger superhero will be back but a much younger version will be seen because producers are looking to replace Andrew Garfield as Spider Man. With Marvel and Sony Pictures teaming up for the next appearance of Spidey, they are also looking at a list of actors to reprise the iconic role.
Sony is now looking for a fresh-face to wear the red-and-blue spandex of the superhero Spider Man, as they announced their partnership with Marvel last Monday. Marvel is planning to include Spidey in the Marvel Cinematic Universe but pressing the reset button on the character bringing him back to high school.
A few actors as reported by IGN, are being considered to replace Garfield in reprising the role. for the crossover of Spidey to Marvel Universe, on top of their list are actors, Dylan O'Brien and Logan Lerman
Dylan O'Brien was famous for his role in "The Maze Runner" and the "The First Time". The 23-year-old actor is also known for his role in the MTV series "Teen Wolf", and has been given the Young Hollywood Award and a Teen Choice Award according to International Business Times.
Meanwhile, Lerman is also famous for playing the title role in the "Percy Jackson" film franchise. The young actor is also praised for his remarkable role in "The Butterfly Effect", "Noah", "Fury", and "The Perks of Being a Wallflower." In those movies the 23-year-old actor received several nominations for his work.
Apparently, the two actors being considered had not yet been tapped by the studios for this opportunity this might be because they are still looking for a replacement for the Marc Webb, the director of "The Amazing Spider Man", to direct the next Spidey film.
In a report by Variety, that it may be exciting to hear that these famous young actors are being considered, but Sony will still have to find a director for the 2017 reboot of Spider Man before moving forward with the casting. Still, fans of O'Brien and Lerman are probably imagining their favorite actors swinging in buildings with his spider powers.
