A psychologist reads messages sent by Jodi areas to his boyfriend after she shot and stabbed him to death in order in order to cover up for her crime. Meanwhile, the court refused to honor Arias the right to testify for herself secretly.
Psychologist Janeen DeMarte, who serves as the prosecution's key witness, read through the emails and text messages that the defendant sent to her boyfriend Travis Alexander after the gruesome murder, reported Latin Post.
"I haven't heard back from you," read one email, reports AZ Family.
Things have only gotten creepier when Dr. DeMarte read one of her journal entries as she "hoped" for the truth of the murder to come out.
"People are dropping my name about possibly having something to do with Travis' death ... I don't understand it ...I have been praying for his family and the detectives...This is difficult to write about ....I take comfort in knowing the truth will come out soon," it reads.
In her testimony, the psychologist also noted that Arias had the capacity to differentiate right and wrong. Her conclusion was that she has a mental disorder and a borderline personality disorder and not really a mental illness.
Defense attorney Kirk Nurmi brutally cross-examined the witness questioning her certitude about the diagnosis.
"When did you become this guru of psychological certitude?"
Meanwhile, Jodi Arias' appeal for a testimony in secret was not granted by the Arizona Supreme Court, reported International Business Times. Thus, he November ruling preventing her from testifying secretly stands.
Jodi Arias initially denied that she killed her 30-year-old boyfriend Travis Alexander, but the claim was not bought by the jurors, reported Kpho.
The body of the victim was found in his Mesa apartment. Autopsy revealed that he had been stabbed 27 times, his throat slit and gunshot in the forehead.
