Next Generation iPhone Specs Revealed; A9 Chips To Be Manufactured by Samsung

It is just like yesterday since Apple launched the iPhone 6 and the slightly bigger iPhone 6 Plus. With their great appeal on the market, the contents of most news were nothing more but their differences, and how each would benefit the users. However, the attention seems to have been diverted from the iPhone 6 models to the next generation iPhone in just a few months.

As a matter of fact, the latest news regarding the Apple’s new phone talk about its specs and external features. One rumored update about the new iPhone is a new and improved Touch ID module in the iPhone’s home button. According to Apple’s predictions guru Ming-Chi Kuo, the new fingerprint sensor will offer a better and more secure Apple Pay user experience by lessening the read errors. To make things more interesting, the new hardware is reported to outperform that of the upcoming Samsung Galaxy S6.

Speaking of which, despite the years of rivalry, it was previously reported that Samsung has begun producing the A9 processor for Apple in mid-December. The chip will have the 14nm FinFET technology, which consumes 35 percent less energy and is 20 percent more efficient. Since the A9 chip is made smaller, it means more space for battery packs as well as for other components.

The processing chip is rumored to be paired with up to 2GB LPDDR4 RAM. While the idea is favorable to battery conservation, it’s not yet certain whether this is true or not.

Another leaked feature about the next generation iPhone is that it will be having the same 8MP camera. According to one analyst, the main reason why the iPhone camera is so good is that Apple utilizes a relatively large sensor with low pixel density, which is ideal in low-light photography. The iPhone 6 and iPhone 6 Plus cameras both ranked first in a renowned mobile tests.

The supposed iPhone 6s is said to come out as early as spring this year. However, its supply chain sources seems to suggest that it will be later. In the meantime, Samsung was already given a head start for manufacturing the A9 chips for Apple’s next generation iPhone.
