The force is in the rumors as a speculation about the new game of Star Wars, Star Wars: Battlefront, is also connected with the new film that J.J. Abrams directed. It is said that the game created is somehow tied together with the seventh installment of the Star Wars franchise.
The movie Star Wars:The Force Awakens is still months away from being released but the game Star Wars:Battlefront will be releasing earlier this year. According to reports, the story of the game will link the viewers to the movie. Crave OnLine reported that the game will span the entire saga from the Phantom Menace to Return of the Jedi, and will also feature battles from Force Awakens.
The majority of the game will be set in the original trilogy of Star Wars, which includes the opening battle of the film Revenge of the Sith as reported by VG 247. The gamer that will play Battlefront will be having full control of both the good side and the bad side characters, which includes the Old Republic, Rebellion, Republic, Separatists and the Empire.
Battlefront is multiplayer-wise, it will feature space-to-land battles and players could have a full control of an army. The difference of this game from other battlefield games is the "hero" system. It's like a killstreak-style reward that would let gamers play a certain hero when you have reached a new threshold.
DICE, the maker of the Star Wars games, said that they are working to create the best Star Wars shooter of all time to carry a legacy into the future with Battlefront. According to DICE's Design Director,Niklas Fegraeus: "We're building a game that we as fans want to play."
Battlefront also will feature a 32 versus 32 multiplayer mode with additional ships and vehicles from the movie Force Awakens. A report coming from Den Of Geeks cited that if the leaked information about the storyline of Battlefront is true it will tie the whole saga in one game.
For fans of the saga in both movie and video games one thing is for sure, Star Wars: Battlefront will bring them in a new dimension filled with galactic adventures. That adventure will start in the Spring of 2015.
