According to PC Advisor, The Sims creators announced through their Facebook page that they will be releasing the game in Mac version by February 17, Tuesday. This will be in a digital download that will be available only from their origin store. Those avid gamers who wish to purchase the Mac version can also have the PC version if they wish to play in Mac or in PC.

The Sims official site announced that they will be giving The Sims Rewards to those players who played The Sims as their own way to say thank you. With the rewards, gamers can receive in-game digital content in The Sims 4 for owning and registering The Sims 3 PC at the same time The Sims 3 Expansion Packs. Each of the reward object will affect the personalities and emotions of their Sims in their unique way.

With its expansion packs, International Business Times reported that they were postponed for their release due to fiscal reasons. Thus, it will be pushed through by 2016. Yet, there are new reports citing that these expansion packs will likely to be released around April 2015 and March 2016.

Apart from the first which was released last January, Outdoor Retreat, there are no other packs to release yet as the creators has no word confirming about launching other packs. However, that doesn't stop the existing speculations since other Sims gamers had received some mails hinting that they would be possibly the packs that the developers would release. Such packs named are City Living expansion, a Business Owner pack, and Supernatural content (as they were already available in The Sims 3 expansions).

The Sims 4 are also updated by adding some fun and exciting tweaks by making the DLC free to users. EA included the ghosts which can be playable characters, a Star Wars costume set, as well as the new Career paths and rewards. New features are also revealed. As the same site source mentioned, EA also added new Styled Looks feature that allows players to create Sims quickly alongside range of pre-set outfits and styles to choose from. With the new world "Willow Creek," players can have new and vibrant characters.

Another improvement of the game is the inclusion of the Build Mode which players can change the size and shape of rooms that will be stressful by clicking and dragging them to elsewhere depending to whatever the players wanted them to look.

Emotions are part of their improvements. As such, the game has more interesting storylines for the Sims as well as the new interactions that will stem from the emotions. Players can also personalize the Sims' appearances, voices, fashion, and walk-style which gives them their unique personalities.

"You control the mind, body, and now the heart of your Sims. For the first time, you control your Sims emotions ... Emotions give you new choices that impact your Sim and shape their stories in The Sims 4. Control how your Sims response to other Sims, objects and moments in the game," EA cited in their site.

Players can also enjoy using "Get to Work" update which will be released by April 2015 where they can allow their Sims to choose pathway to their career by choosing their career options. This time, their Sims can be a police, a doctor, and more.

Though these new upgrades of the Sims are pleasing, yet, the game is reported to be crashing and its glitches are most observable. Ryan Vaughn, The Sims 4 producer said that those who are using lower-end machines will have a better experiences in The Sims 4 than the previous since they also wanted to include those with the lower-ends can enjoy the game just like those who have higher-end machines. "We know that our players have a wide range of different PC specs. We want to make sure that sombody playing on a lower-end machine has just as great an experience as somebody on a higher-end machine," he said.

He also shared that right now they are making the game optimization to increase game performance by no cutting down on loading screens and making sure that the nice appreance remains the same. He said, "...The Sims as vibrant and that your gameplay is just as much fun regardless of what spec you're playing on."

Meanwhile, there is no word heard from the developers if there would be a console version for this game. But, "Get to Work" patch will be released by April 2015 for $40.
