Unlike other dating rumors, it's the dog bite incident that sparked the news that Jennifer Lopez is possibly has reunited with Casper Smart. In a statement of Lopez's neighbor Andrea Ashley, who files a case against 'Let's Get Loud' singer and 27-year old choreographer, when she was attacked by a dog from Lopez's house Casper came out instantly.
According to TMZ, last December Casper's boxer dog Bear mauled Ashley's left arm and hand. They also reported that the plaintiff included Lopez in her case because Bear came out from her fence and it wasn't the first incident she was attacked by Casper's dog.
"Ashley says, right after the attack ... Casper walked out of JLo's house wearing only pajama bottoms and came over to apologize. That's interesting because Casper and Jennifer had broken up several months before the attack. As we reported ... J.Lo's people told us the dogs were only at her house for a visit with her kids. Apparently, Casper was visiting too," TMZ reported.
The celebrity site also shared that Casper volunteered to handle Ashley's hospital fees and Bear was back at his house after the incident. Is it because of Casper's dogs why he's still with J.Lo? An InTouch Weekly's source divulged a reason why the 45-year old 'On The Floor' singer can't simply erase her ex beau and that's because she simply needs him.
"Jennifer says Casper is the ultimate friends with benefits," InTouch's insider said. "I hate to be blunt, but Jennifer has needs and Casper fulfills them -- for now it's just a hookup.
"[But] Casper still has a hold on Jennifer...She says she still loves Casper, so who knows what will happen."
Meantime, J.Lo's latest suspense thriller film The Boy Next Doo is about May-December love affair and she co-starring with American-Mexican actor Ryan Guzman. In her interview with Mirror, Lopez was also asked about her view on the topic she also experienced in real life.
"I think in the past, the thought was your 20s are when you are at your best and after that it's downhill. Now women are realising that we are at our best as we get older. We are attractive and we are more interesting and we are more self-assured than we were 10 years before, and there's something sexy and attractive about that to all men. So what's the big deal," Lopez commented.
