With the third Wolverine movie installment still two years away from showing in theaters, actor Hugh Jackman gave some hints about the Marvel hero he portrays in the upcoming movie.

Hugh Jackman will officially be returning for Wolverine 3, playing the titular role of the character with andamatium claws sticking out his hands. Jackman also revealed a few details in the making of Wolverine 3. In his interview with MTV's Josh Horowitz, he confirmed that the upcoming solo movie of Wolverine will be based on a Marvel comic book that he and director, James Mangold is looking at.

Jackman answered a definitive "No." when he was asked about if the story of the third movie of Wolverine will have the same setting with the previous one, but he also cited a hint about the movie being drawn from different comic book stories of the clawed-hero.

"It does draw on some comic book stuff. There are some things. But in typical fashion, instead of.. . [there will be] one main one, with a few bits here and there, and then opening it up, you know?"

On Cinema Blend they reported that Sir Patrick Stewart, the actor who plays the brilliant Proffesor Xavier is rumored to be appearing in Wolverine 3. Needless to say Jackman did not confirm or deny the involvement of Stewart to the movie.

"Let's just say, I'd be thrilled if he was part of it because I think that relationship is key, it's one of the keys. It was the key in the beginning and I think there's a long way to go, you know?" Jackman said after he was asked about Professor X's character in the movie.

Still, according to Screenrant, Wolverine still remains Fox Studios' central production to their X-Men franchise from Marvel. Jackman once said that the idea was to shoot X-Men:Apocalypse and Wolverine 3 back-to-back to have an element of continuity of the two movies.

Meanwhile, when Jackman was asked about Spiderman's return to Marvel and if his character would also be making an appearance in the Marvel Cinematic Universe, the actor said,

"I like to think there's that possibility for all of it, and I would even like to think more that it doesn't happen out of necessity, y'know, when someone's run it into the ground or something. I optimistically love the idea of 'What the hell, Batman versus Iron Man versus Wolverine!' Let's just chuck 'em in,"he said.

The movie Wolverine 3 is scheduled to hit the cinemas on March 2017.
