Samsung Galaxy S4 and S5 are now following the lead in latest Android 5.0 Lollipop update along with Galaxy Note 3 and 4 in select countries.
The highly-anticipated software update comes out with several enhancements and new features including new user interface.
Samsung has considered the Galaxy S line to advance the leader in Samsung technology with optimized camera images, a higher-resolution QHD display and top-end internals.
Verizon and Sprint are the only mobile carriers in the US to implement the update to Galaxy S5 users.

When system update notification will pop up, it means the update hits the device's terminal. Here's what to do:
1. Click the system update notification.
2. Tap "Download now."
3. Tap "Install now" after the download is completed.
For manual updating, here'd a good way to go:
1. Go to "Settings."
2. Click "About phone."
3. Click "Software update."
4. Click "Check for software updates."
For alternative update KIES, connect the USB cable to PC and check for update. On top of that, device must run stock firmware to ensure eligibility for over-the-air (OTA) update. This is a major update according to Android owner Google, thus 800MB is needed. Battery life should also be up to 50 percent.
Samsung reminds Galaxy S4 and S5 owners that the update comes in phases. Accordingly, it will take over a month to complete the installation.
The South Korean tech giant first made available Android 5.0 Lollipop update early December with Galaxy S5 in Poland, followed by Galaxy S4, and Galaxy Note 3 and 4.
Last January, the update spread out in Central and Western Europe, Russia and Malaysia, then, Australia early in February.
Earlier in February, Android 5.0 Lollipop update continued with the Galaxy Note 4. The first Note 4 device to be updated was the Exynos model in Poland on February 11. Lollipop is also available to the Snapdragon Galaxy Note 4 in Germany.
Exynos-powered Samsung Galaxy S4 was the first S4 variant to experience the latest Lollipop update which began in Russia on February 2, then to India. The LTE-A variant also first got the Lollipop update in Czech Republic, Slovakia, and Germany.
Meanwhile, Samsung has announced recently that Galaxy Note 2 owners can also get the update too, first in Poland.
Lollipop is the biggest update yet for the Android mobile OS under Google.
