The new F1 release date for Xbox One, PS4 consoles is pegged this summer and that game developer Codemasters targets to get it running at 1080p and 60 frames per second according to a new leak.
Metro reported that website VirtualR has retrieved the said screenshots on the Facebook page of F1 Game Memes.
Despite that the images have been taken down, the game developer did confirm the leak as real and part of a 'confidential internal development email'.
Codemasters has sent Eurogamer the following statement about the leak that read, "The work-in-progress images were taken from a confidential internal development email. At this time, all content is subject to approval by Formula One Management and the teams."
The screenshots depict the new Grand Prix circuit at Mexico City alongside renders of cars featuring a hybrid Sauber that puts together parts of the 2014 car with the 2015 cars.
In addition, there's also a render of the remodelled circuit in Mexico City that's returning to the F1 calendar this year.
A final slide shows Codemasters' ambitions for the Xbox One, PS4 versions of F1 2015 release.
"The ongoing quest for 60fps continues," it reads. "On PS4 we're hitting around 45-55fps at 1920x1080... There are still plenty of optimisations to be made on both the CPU and GPU side and this is ongoing."
As to the F1 2015 release date, there is some text information included in the said leak hinting that the racing title arrives this summer or in other words, the Codemasters has at least three months remaining in development of the game.
Codemasters has a tradition to launch F1 games during months of September or October, however, it appears that new F1 2015 game will get a release date for PS4 and Xbox One versions as early as June.
