Setbacks for Cara Delevingne's Suicide Squad Role Preparation Uncovered! What's the Real Reason Behind Her Psychotherapist Visits?

By

Cara Delevingne is apparently struggling with her role as the Enchantress for the upcoming movie "Suicide Squad," and she has turned to her psychotherapist for help.

She may be a veteran on the runway, but Delevingne is still struggling with her upcoming role. According to Batman News, Delevingne wants to nail her performance for her very dark character, and it is proving to be a challenge considering her "cheery and laid-back" personality. Delevingne is set to play the role of "kind-hearted" June Moone, who is possessed by the Enchantress in the "Suicide Squad."

Delevingne's schizophrenic character is first described as having a "split personality" before the origins of the dark Enchantress is revealed. As IGN describes, "Enchantress discovered that her persona was in fact an evil magical entity from another dimension, rather than just an identity."

As part of her preparation, Delevingne is allegedly coming to her psychotherapist daily prior to filming, which will begin mid-April in Toronto. Delevingne will be working with Will Smith and Jared Leto, with director David Ayer at the helm.

Delevingne's struggle with her schizophrenic character is not helped by the script for the movie, as co-actor Smith revels that Ayer only gives conceptual ideas about the characters.

Talking to IGN, Smith describes Ayer's work as "all images, all ideas," and admits he has not read the script yet. "He holds [back] the screenplay and he just keeps giving you things about your character-he just wants you to be prepared for anything," Smith further says.

When not appearing to be cheery, The Irish Independent says Delevingne might be feeling lonely and seeking out people to "fill a void" after her grandmother's passing. According to the article, Look magazine has a source revealing that Delevingne's grandmother's death has been tough on the model because "she hadn't been home much in the weeks leading up to it."

The film is tentatively scheduled for an August 5, 2016 release. The cast also includes Margot Robbie and Jai Courtney.
