The freshest details regarding the PS4 exclusive Unchartered 4: A Thief's End release date have been revealed in the latest issue of Official Playstation Magazine (OPM) UK.
According to Gamepur, OPM UK has dished aslew of information that includes sandbox, frame rate, the grappling hook or axe, texture quality and other new exciting features of the game.
The said magazine writes that game developer Naughty Dog has confirmed the sandbox feature for Unchartered 4: A Thief's End that will extend an opportunity for the players to explore the maps and find additional information regarding the plot.
In the article, the Grappling Hook or Axe as a new feature that was first demoed at the PlayStation Experience last December has also been tackled. The studio reportedly told OPM that climbing will be more challenging than ever where players will be put under a great risk of falling even at the slightest of missteps in making the balance.
As for the frame rate, the demo of the Unchartered 4: A Thief's End runs at 30fps, although, Naughty Dog has announced beforehand that the final retail build will be at 60fps without affecting the overall quality of the game that they said is their topmost priority.
As noted by Eurogamer, Naughty Dog has been setting their render target for all future games is 1080p at 60fps.
'Uncharted 4: A Thief's End' also promises fans to discover another side of Nathan Drake that haven't been known before. In an interview with Game Informer, game director Bruce Straley teased that the gaming enthusiasts would be able to dig deeper into what really pushes Drake.
"Everybody believes that he's quippy and he's off the cuff, but over the course of each game, you've seen that he's actually driven by something way deeper than what's on the surface," he said.
The Naughty Dog team has got used to introduce supporting characters to define Drake's persona: Elena in 'Uncharted 1', Chloe in 'Uncharted 2', and Sully in 'Uncharted 3.'
In the fourth installment, Drake's long-lost brother, Sam, drags him back to stumble in the world of treasure hunting that he'd turned his back from at the finale of 'Uncharted 3.'
Unchartered 4: A Thief's End release date is slated to arrive as a PS4 exclusive during the Holiday season this year.
