It was said that the upgrade would offer the Windows Holographic (Microsoft holographic computing platform) and Microsoft Hololens which would let users create 3D models. New web browsers will also be introduced. In time with the Windows 10 launching will be the launch of Cortana and Spartan Web Browsers. Following the touch generation, the Start Menu may be made into Full Screen with just one touch. Multitasking was also highlighted. Users can now use up to four applications at the same time. Microsoft is adapting to the fast-paced world through its multitasking feature. However, since the company received some complaints, the traditional start button will be making its comeback.

Netizens would question the cost of such upgrade. Well loyal Microsoft users need not worry.

After the launch of Microsoft's Windows 10 this June 2015, Microsoft's Terry Myerson had announced according to Techradar that the upgrade will be free for current Windows 7, 8, and 8.1 users for a year. Also free security and systems update will be given to Microsoft Windows 7, 8, and 8.1 users. The upgrade is available for only a year as a trial version. The actual pricing for the upgrade will be released after a year of its unveiling.

Microsoft aims to upgrade all the OS of the users since a number of them still use the 14-year old software, Windows XP. This is in response to other companies who have been giving software upgrades for free. One of the largest hardware companies, Apple has been giving free MAC OS and iOS updates to its users thus maintaining the ties of their users.
