It's been more than a year since Michael Schumacher faced one of the hardest challenges in his life. It wasn't on the race track, but in the snowy mountains. December 2013 when the famous Formula One driver hit his head which caused traumatic head injuries. He was in coma for months and until now, he is still far from recovering.

In the meantime, let's give you a quick timeline shared by one source. By January of 2014, the investigators revealed that Schumacher was trying to lessen his speed. However, it was too late. By February, reports were provided about his helmet which apparently was not able to stand the impact. Within the year, he was transferred to different facilities until they have decided to just make their own home his own facility. This has cost the driver huge amount of money.

Very few information are known about Schumacher's condition. In fact, even the paparazzi wouldn't be able to take snap shots of the racer. According to a report, tents were built in order to block those who would attempt to take pictures of Schumacher. Media blackout was ordered by his family. It is understandable given that they just want to protect the race car driver. It would also be very painful for the fans to see their idol in that condition.

Evidently, in order to sustain Schumacher's medical needs, they need a lot of cash. However, some of the racer's promoters pulled out their agreement. Indeed, he will be losing a lot of money from that. But because of his earnings during the time that he was still the king on the race track, he was able to save more than enough for now. The question is, for how long?

Nevertheless, the whole world is praying that Michael Schumacher will recover. We might not be able to see him race again, but the important thing is that he is still fighting for his life. With that, we can say that he will always be a champion.
