Jurassic World Spoilers: Expect Genetically-modified Dinosaur Hybrids to Stomp Around Luxurious Costa Rican Theme Resort

By

Jurassic World is set to hit theaters midyear after the now-classic franchise has been freed from cinematic amber and resurrected for both new and old audiences. Still, even with its premier just around the corner, Jurassic fans continue to clamor for spoilers ahead of the June 12 release date.

However, the Jurassic World official website offers little in the way of spoilers and teasers, instead serves only to stimulate even more fans’ thirst for the latest scoop on the movie set. Unofficial sources seem better equipped to satisfy. This time, it seems that a popular toy manufacturing company may be guilty of having unwittingly given out too much information!

Hasbro Toys, which is reportedly in-charge of Jurassic World toy merchandising, may have revealed certain details about the movie’s plot as well as some of its new giant creatures through its media photo releases. The toy firm’s latest product line reportedly shows some very curious genetically-modified dinosaurs! Can we, therefore, expect that in the film not only will they be cloning extinct dinosaurs but actually manipulating their DNA to create new hybrid species?

International Business Times reported that at the top of Hasbro’s new monster list is the so-called Indominus Rex, which roughly translates to the “ultimate predator.” Another new creature is the Stegoceratops, which could quite possibly be a hybrid between the Stegosaurus and the Triceratops. Neither the Indominus Rex nor the Stegoceratops appear in the fossil records, for sure!

Earlier, director Colin Trevorrow revealed some interesting bits about the film’s setting. The new Jurassic World, which is apparently a bigger and much improved version of Jurassic Park, is located on Isla Nublar, off the coast of Costa Rica, Trevorrow told io9.com. The fictional theme park hosts some 20,000 tourists daily, all of whom are ferried-in from Costa Rica. This time, we are not only talking about a dinosaur zoo, but also a fully functional theme resort, complete with a hotel, restaurants, nightclubs and even a golf course!
