By

Shawn Ashmore who portrays Bobby Drake aka Iceman in the X-Men film series has revealed that he hopes that they would get to merge in a film with the Fantastice Four. With almost every comic book adaptation in a verge to co-exist in the Hollywood big screen, it would come as no surprise that Professor Xavier and his mutants will have a cross-over with Marvel's first family of superheroes.

The 35-year-old actor, in an recent interview with Comicbook, was exhilarated about the notion of a possible cross-over, which will likely happen in the Marvel Universe.

"Well, what I'm about to propose is not totally out of the realm of possibility because it's the same studio, but I'm excited to see the new Fantastic Four. That's what I really want to see, that's what I'm really curious about." The long time X-Men alum said.

He also further explained why he thinks that it is an awesome idea.

"I want to see that take on it. I think it would be dope to see a little crossover between the X-Men, maybe some Fantastic Four, maybe Bobby flying around with The Fantastic Four one of these days. That would be cool, wouldn't it?"

It wasn't like Ashmore was all alone in his enthusiasm for the intermingling of both superhero teams in the big screen. Two months ago, during the leak of exclusive emails from Sony online, news reporting website, "The Daily Beast" revealed some of the contents from that scandal. In the said email written by Michael De Luca, co-president of production for Columbia Pictures to Amy Pascal, Co-Chairman for Sony Pictures Entertainment, it was expressed that he learned directly from Simon Kinberg that Fox is working on an X-Men and Fantastic Four team-up movie. De Luca suggested that Sony should also plan a similar venture with "their Spider-Man property".

However, X-Men series producer and screenwriter Simon Kinberg had this to say for the expected francise reboot.
