Months ago, the divorce issue between Meri and Kody surfaced. At first, the family tried to hide about the new setup. Did they try to really hide it from the public? Or they just want the perfect time to reveal it so that their show will hit nice ratings.
For whatever reason it is, the divorce has become a big issue. In fact, in the video teaser for Sister Wives' next episode, it revealed where it all started. We all thought that Kody suggested this divorce. To our surprise, it was Meri who acted on it.
The decision, as shared by the family, wasn't because Meri is leaving the Browns for good. It's just that they wanted Kody to be the legal guardian of Robyn's kids. If you must know, Robyn's kids are from her previous relationship. In order for them to enjoy the legal benefits, Kody must marry Robyn.
However, some people speculated that there is more than that. They believe that Meri isn't happy being in a polygamous family. Her supporters are actually pushing her to leave the home and start a new life.
There's another controversy that the family is now facing. According to one source, Kody seems to be spending more time with his other children. Is he having favorites? Well, it's really hard to imagine giving equal time for your 17 kids. Don't you think? But that doesn't mean one shouldn't exert effort. However, his wives defended their husband claiming that he is a good father to all their children.
