'Hart of Dixie' season 4 may be the final one. Season 5 may not be renewed, as the show is not receiving positive ratings in its Friday night time slot. However, there is still hope, as the CW network recently renewed the 'Beauty And The Beast' for fourth season.
Zap2it reported that there is no chance for the next season's CW schedule for 'Hart Of Dixie', regardless of its ratings, there's no chance it could appear again during the regular season. They are also certain that 'Hart of Dixie' will be cancelled by May, 2015.
However, there is still a hope for the show's fifth season, after the network has recently renewed 'Beauty and The Beast' for its fourth season scheduled to be aired on summer, despite its poor ratings as well. Fans of the show hope that 'Hart of Dixie will have the same fate as B&B.
Many have expected that 'Beauty and the Beast' third season's low numbers and small episode would be the end for them. Yet, it seems the network is considering lower ratings for the summer programming.
The show also seen to remain relatively steady over season 4 on Friday nights compared to its rating during its premiere in 2011. This indicates that there are fans that still following Zoe (Rachel Bilson) and Wade's (Wilson Bethel) romance on screen.
Previously, it was reported that the writers of the show have been preparing for the current season to be the final one. And some actors including Wilson Bethel have reportedly signed on for new projects.
In an interview with E! News December, producer Leila Gerstein said "Well, I can't speak to that, as the decision to renew or cancel is out of my hands. I can tell the fans that this season is for you and you're going to love this season. No one is going to feel unsatisfied by the end. Obviously we hope for many, many more seasons but everyone will be happy with this season."
"I will say that there is a lot of closure in the season finale and there is a definite feeling of celebration at the end of the season," Gerstein told E! News. "But there are also certainly doors left open for the future," she added.
