Recently, Michael Schumacher was listed as one of the greatest formula racers of all time along with Jim Clark and Juan Manuel Fangio. Currently, his condition remains slowly recovering.
One site mentioned Schumacher as one of the greatest formula racers of all time together with the other great drivers listed. As mentioned, he was able to "rewrite every record in the book" as they detailed all his accomplishments as a formula racer with the number of championships he has won, as well as the races, seasons, pole positions recorded that made historical remark in the racing track.
They said, "Though his tactics and ethics were at times questionable, his relentless speed was beyond doubt ... Schumacher would tap into a relentless, other-worldly level of speed that would somehow deliver him victory ...Schumacher spent his greatest years at Maranello, building a legacy that overshadows any driver arriving at the Scuderia today."
Meanwhile, though details about his recovery has been sparse, yet, there are a few which are leaked out. According to some reports, his condition is still slow in terms of its progress to his recovery. It was described as "painfully slow." While the cost of his rehabilitation has been ballooning until now, the family has remained silent to Schumacher's real condition.
Weeks ago, reports about the estimated cost of the entire rehabilitation were reaching as high as 10 million UK pound ($15.5 million). Professor Jean-Francois Payen is currently caring Schumacher after the ski accident with his son in the French Alps. He was the one who operated Schumacher's blood clots after the accident.
In addition to recent reports, there are around 15 people in a medical team who were caring him around the clock aside from his family especially his wife, Corinna, who has been strong and stable amid her husband's difficult times.
Payen even expressed his admiration to the kind of strength she showed although she's facing the most trouble times in their family life. He said, "She has displayed in every way an exceptional willpower ... She looks at things clearly and makes every effort, and gives everything, which can help to improve the condition of her husband."
Schumacher's friends and fans have expressed their support to his fast recovery through giving messages as well as recalling the great and fun times with him specifically as a great racer. One of them said, "...Michael was a formidable racer ... relentlessly competitive. Always there for him."
The family has retained the media blackout while Schumacher, the great racer, is still undergoing rehabilitation after his ski accident 14 months ago.
