Lady Gaga's role for upcoming season of American Horror Story was confirmed by its creator Ryan Murphy.
For the next season, the Mother Monster will not be just a mere cameo, but will lead the whole series. FX's hit anthology series will now work on its fifth season, which was officially titled American Horror Story: Hotel. It will be aired this coming fall, on October, but the exact date is still known.
Aside from Gaga, no cast is yet confirmed by the production. Jessica Lange, who also starred in the show's previous season, was confirmed to not return anymore, despite the earlier report that Lange is interested to be part of the next season.
Gaga announced this news through her Twitter account by posting a trailer video of the show's fifth season. Gaga's role for the show is yet to be revelead This will be Lady Gaga's first major acting career. She previously appeared in music videos and as a cameo in some movies like Men in Black 3, Machete Kills and Sin City 2: A Dame to Kill For.
Director Robert Rodriguez, director of the two movies Gaga has been cast, believed in the singer's acting performance. He said Gaga is loved by the camera and will be a great acting performer if she pursue one.
Her fans are now anticipating how their idol pop singer will act in front of the camera. They believe Gaga can awe anyone in her role for the show's fifth season.
Lady Gaga just recently made headlines after her exceptional stage performance in Oscars this year. She performed a tribute for the classic movie Sound of Music, which was highly praised by the audience not just for the way she sang but also for her 'normal' look that night.
Lady Gaga had also previously worked with Ryan Murphy by lending some of her songs to the hit musical series Glee.
