When the 88 second teaser trailer for "Star Wars: The Force Awakens" last November was released, fans have been waiting for a follow-up video eversince. There has been no offiical statement as to when the second trailer for the Star Wars franchise will be seen.
J.J. Abrams, the 48-year-old director has remained coy regarding more footages in the near future. His upcoming expected blockbuster still has 10 months before it will finally hit the big silver screen. In a recent interview with Irishexaminer, he expressed the impracticality of showing another teaser but was very thankful for all the fans and their zeal.
"First of all, I'm always grateful that people would be asking. But the truth is it's like we haven't shown anything." He continued by adding that: "There's sort of an abundance of riches with the stuff we could put out so we're just trying to make sure it's as good as it could be before we put anything out. The disaster would be to race something out for the sake of making an impact and it being not as good as people deserve."
Summing up the facts with reference to the teaser video: John Boyega (Attack The Block) is a Stormtropper on the verge of reforming, Golden Globe nominee Oscar Isaac gets to fly an X-Wing, a more jagged version of a light saber is now being wielded and more robotic machines called Droids will be running around in the film.
Nevertheless, last December IGN.com argued that the next trailer will obviously be released this coming May. Disney will be scheduled to release the superhero blockbuster sequel, Avengers: Age Of Ultron this 1st of May 2015. It is possible that they will be showing the second trailer of "The Force Awakens" three days after. May 4 is known as the unofficial secular holiday in the Star Wars universe known as "Star Wars Day" along with the catchphrase of "May the fourth/force be with you".
