After the release of Apple's iPhone 6, Samsung is up to its most challenging hurdle yet in its mission to regain their throne as the world's top Smartphone tycoon.
In 2014, the release of the Samsung's flagship, Galaxy S5 was largely criticised because its few but outstanding new features were eclipsed by the product's design. This year, the company is eager to recover from the "dismal" Samsung S5 and 2014 which resulted to their significant sales declines through Galaxy S6; so the question is - Did Samsung pull it through this time?
Here are the top features that will help you decide why you should own a Samsung Galaxy S6.
1. The "Infinity Pool" display
With the aim of increasing user satisfaction, the Edge model of Galaxy S6 looks like an infinity pool where the edges of the screen just literally falls off from both sides. Clearly, this is Galaxy S6's Edge best feature. This allows for a better overall user experience which past Samsung Galaxy models failed to achieve.
2. The best battery-life experience, ever.
Most Samsung Galaxy aficionados like the fact that Galaxy phones (or generally Samsung phones) allow the users to replace old batteries. But on Sunday, March 1, Samsung executives boasted that Galaxy S6 got rid of this feature because S6 will be so good, you will not need to worry about replacing the battery at all.
Samsung CEO JK Shin introduced further that S6 will only take 10 minutes to charge to get it to hours of full use and specifically said that this new Galaxy will charge faster than any other Smartphones in the industry today.
3. 577 pixels per inch resolution along with a 16-megapixel sensor and an ultrafast F1.9 lens.
On the same launching, a demonstration was presented showing a silhouette of a couple in front of the fountain. The video was revealed to be captured using an iPhone 6 camera; however, using the novel Galaxy S6 - the couple were visibly illuminated. All of these made possible by the cutting-edge 16-migapixel camera that loads very fast (0.7 seconds or less) coupled with the remarkable 577 pixels per inch resolution along with a significant upgrade in the phone specs.
Samsung Galaxy S6 is expected to hit the market in April this year.
