It was a rough time for Levine during the season 8 premiere of The Voice where he got nobody on board, although, in episode 2, his team made a turn around with three contestants, the super talented singers Tonya Boyd-Cannon, Blaze Johnson, and Deanna Johnson.
The other teams are:
Team Blake: Brooke Adee, Joshua Davis, Cody Wickline and Sarah Potenza
Team Christina: Joe Tolo, Rob Taylor, Treeva Gibson and Gabriel Wolfchild
Team Pharrell: Anthony Riley, Mia Z., Sawyer Fredericks, Lowell Oakley and Meghan Linsey
Last Tuesday night's episode included remarkable performances of Anthony Riley, 27, street performer from Philadelphia and Brooke Adee, teenage auditionee with a mature vocals from Tampa, Florida.
Riley, who has been performing on sidewalks for a long time now and even got jailed fighting for his right to be a street performer, delivered his own rendition of James Brown's "I Got You (I Feel Good)". He impressed all four coaches well enough to push their buttons and turned their chairs but he ended up choosing for Pharell Williams.
On the other hand, Adee, 16, who just moved with her family to Florida performed "Skinny Love" that made Levine and Shelton turned their chairs but she ultimately opted for coach Shelton.
The next episodes of 'The Voice season 8 air Monday, March 2 and Tuesday, March 3 at 8 p.m. on NBC.
