Richard Castle (Nathan Fillion) and Kate Beckett (Stana Katic) have always delighted fans with their onscreen chemistry. The ABC crime drama will be returning on March 17 after taking a break.
The series will return with a new episode entitled, "Hong Kong Hustle" and will treat viewers with a strong storyline and some rather amusing developments.
It seems like Beckett will be dealing with bouts of jealousy as Castle gets paired off with a very gorgeous lady from Hong Kong. The 20-second trailer introduces the new cast member as a beautiful and intelligent young woman. Beckett seems to realize that the woman that her husband is going to be working with is very much like her, so should she be worried?
Beckett seems to be commenting on how beautiful the Hong Kong lady looks, to which Richard agrees. A jealous look seems to be playing on Beckett's face. It seems like Richard should have kept his mouth shut!
Fans of the pair will also be excited to hear the latest development on the Beckett-Castle storyline, they just might be having children soon! Executive producer David Amann hinted that Beckett's jealousy is actually good news for the couple.
"She's been driven for the better part of her adult life by the death of her mother, which is now resolved. Her relationship with Castle is settled, so she's at a place now where she really needs to be thinking about, 'What does she want that future to be?' It seems like children are going to naturally be a part of that discussion," he said
Amann also said that a baby Castle won't be happening anytime soon. Beckett is, as of the moment, questioning her future and is weighing in the possibility of having a baby.
Will the series be seeing a season 8? David Amann seems to be sending fans some rather mixed signals. "I think the show has a number of years left in it, if the TV gods smile upon us," Amann said back in October 2014 "I think there is plenty of story left to be told with these characters."
While ABC hasn't given official word as to whether or not they will be renewing the series for another run, Amann is confident for the best and seems to have formulated his own contingency plan.
"Obviously, we're prepared for whatever comes along, and we'll adjust as necessary, but we're hopeful that the show will move forward," Amann said. "In the meantime, we'll just make the best show that we can."
