Universal Pictures' "The Huntsman" had long been on the road to success. This fate had been caused by the initial letdown which was caused by the announcement that Kristen Stewart (Snow White) will no longer reprise her role. But what will the Huntsman do if there's no one to hunt?
The production then decided to make the spin-off a prequel to the "Snow White and the Huntsman" film. According to reports, the story will revolve around the backstory of Eric the Huntsman who was played by Chris Hemsworth and the evil Queen Ravenna who was played by Charlize Theron.
Frank Darabont, the director who penned the screenplay for this film, has bowed out of the film even if he was set to replace Rupert Sanders, the director of the first film.
With this catastrophe at hand, the Visual Effects Head Cedric Nicolas-Troyan will be stepping up to direct the film.
With the film stuck in a quicksand, Emily Blunt and Jessica Chastain, two of the most in-demand stars in Hollywood seals the deal with Universal to save the day. Emily Blunt is packed with great movies which she starred in such as the recent "Into the Woods", "Edge of Tomorrow" and the iconic "The Devil Wears Prada". She's a star in the upcoming drama series "Sicario" and "Batron & Charlie & Checco".
Jessica Chastain is not behind her co-star when it comes to movie credits. Her recent films include "Interstellar", "Zero Dark Thirty" and her notable performance at the "A Most Violent Year".
She recently finished with "The Martian" and is soon to star in "Crimson Peak". Nick Frost is also set to reprise his role as dwarf Nion.
There are still little news about the roles of the two new bloods but they are the Universal's key to success. They are hoped to reel in fans to watch the film.
