Today's exclusive flash sale of the Mi 4 64 GB in India is over and as usual all units were sold in an instant. Flipkart flashes a banner on its website today informing registered users that the device is sold out, with a follow-up advisory that the next flash sale on March 10 requires a mandatory registration.
The flash sale commenced at 2 IST and it is available only to registered users. As to the number of units sold, no information has been released yet and so with the number of Flipkart users that registered for this flash sale. It is sold at Rs 23, 999.
On February 24 Flipkart held a back-to-back flash sale for the Mi 4 16 GB and the Mi 4 64 GB variant. That was the first for the Mi 4 64 GB while it was the second time that the Mi 4 16 GB variant was made available on Flipkart through a flash sale.
The Mi 4 variants are basically the same, except for the difference in storage size. Both sports a 5-inch Full HD display, powered by a 2.5GHz Qualcomm Snapdragon 801 processor with a a 3,080mAh battery. It is also packed with 3GB RAM and Adreno 330 for the device's speed and graphics. Both the Mi 4 variants come with an 8-megapixel front snapper and a 13-megapixel rear camera and boast of a 4K UHD video recording
Xiaomi reversed its initial decision to make only the 16 GB Mi phone available in India after receiving widespread criticism from the brand's fans in the country. The Chinese tech manufacturer made peace by making the 64 GB Mi phone available for Indian consumers shortly after the Mi 16 GB variant was released in India. Now the Mi phones are among the top 5 selling phones in India.
The registration for the March 10 flash sale of the Mi 4 64 GB model will start at 6pm. Remember registration is mandatory. In contrast, registration is no longer needed for those who are planning to buy a Mi 4 16 GB version on Flipkart.
