While the world is waiting for the release of Kendrick Lamar New Album, some lucky fans have, including late Michael Jackson's son Prince already got an early preview of the project. Lamar preferred to be called a writer instead of a rapper, it was reported.
According to Music Times, an heir of music royalty (and his friend) heard the preview of the album. Prince, son of the late music icon Michael Jackson, posted a photo of him and the Compton rapper on Twitter with the caption:
"Had the great honor of meeting Kendrick and hearing some of his new tracks for his upcoming album with @RealOBee pic.twitter.com/fOFnkbPjk5" - Prince Jackson (@princemjjjaxon) February 25, 2015
On facebook, Jackson's friend also joined in the fun. "Such a great pleasure meeting @kendricklamar last night and hearing him play some new tracks for his upcoming album. Humble guy and the Music is on another level." He noted with the "fire" emoji that the album was hot.
Still, there is no detail as to the release date, tracklists or art has been revealed.
Meanwhile, it was reported that Kendrick Lamar preferred to be called himself a writer rather than a rapper.
In an interview with Comedy Central's late night talk show, Lamar talked about the introspective verses on his 'Untitled' track.
The "Backseat Freestyle" rapper also discussed why he prefers to be called a writer instead of a rapper.
"I pride myself on that," he said. "It's more storytelling than actually rhyming words together."
In a recent interview with NPR's "Microphone Check Show," Martin proved that K. Dot is indeed a talented writer, revealing the "Untitled" track was created the day before his performance.
"We came with that the day before at rehearsal," he said. "We didn't want to do nothing that's already been done. He didn't want to do 'i.' Let's just, you know, fly out. Let's rehearse in New York and get that energy and do something a little different."
The "Untitled" track is expected to be featured in Kendrick Lamar's highly anticipated album.
