7 More Dinosaurs Join The "Jurassic World" Themepark

A total of seven new dinosaur breeds were revealed for the upcoming film "Jurassic World".The official artwork can be seen on the film's website in addition to the previously disclosed species.

The list that will be joining the genetically-engineered Indominus Rex, which has lately been identified as a female and the other dinosaurs that Universal Pictures had already presented to the public for the "Jurassic World" themepark are the following: Baryonyx, Dimorphodon, Edmontosaurus, Metriacanthosaurus, Microceratus, Pteranodon and Suchomimus.

Baryonyx was earlier considered to be the super-predator that stalked Dr. Allan Grant and his entourage in Jurassic Park III. This dinosaur is recognized for its very long snout and claws that resemble a large hook.

Dimorphodon is a medium-sized flying reptile. Its name means "two-form tooth". It is suggested that this dinosaur was an "insectivore".

Edmontosaurus is a duck-billed dinosaur. It mostly populate the western part of western America. The dinosaur is one of the few species who grind up their food before swallowing.

Metriacanthosaurus is a huge Cretaceous period predator with crocodile-jaws and neural spines that form a sail. Its name means "medium spine lizard".

Microceratus is a herbivore which habitat was North America and Asia. It has a frilled-shape head andd stands on its two feet.

Pteranodon is also a flying reptile meaning it is not a dinosaur but is closely related to this diverse group of animals. It has a very long wing span. Its head had a crest and it had no teeth.

Suchomimus was also mentioned in Jurassic Park III. Like Baryonyx, the dinosaur was also mistaken to be the primary antagonist in the said film. It also had a two-foot-high sail on its lower back, a snout that measured up to 4 ft. In length and huge, foot-long thumb claws. Its name means "crocodile mimic".

In related news, Sir David Attenborough - the younger brother of the late Richard Attenborough (Dr. John Hammond of Jurassic Park) is planning to have a dinosaur theme park of his own named "Jurassic Cove".
