Looks like the famous wall-crawler's cross over to the Marvel Cinematic Universe is really coming true and reports of a new director guiding Spidey's way to the Marvel Universe had been found.
Fans of Spider Man will be thrilled as the his cross over to Marvel will finally be coming in soon, with the new-found director and scriptwriter by Marvel and Sony, Drew Goddard. Goddard had worked alongside Avengers director, Josh Whedon, in a comedy-horror movie, Cabin in The Woods. According to Ecumenical News, Sony is happy with Goddard's work and his connection with Whedon did not lessen his chances to be chosen to direct Spider Man.
However, Goddard had already been tapped by Sony previously to direct a Spider Man sequel before they decided to collaborate with Marvel. The suppose-to-be movie was titled Sinister Six as reported by Hollywood Reporter, but after teaming up with Disney's Marvel, they have decided to relaunch the we-slinging hero, bringing the story back to Spidey's high school years.
Even though the story changes had been made, Goddard was still the choice of the studio giants to direct the film of the new Spider Man film called, Spectacular Spider Man as reported by Badass Digest.
During this return of the famous hero to the big screen, actor Andrew Garfield will no longer be the one to wear the red spandex suit. As reported, the new Spider Man movie will be set back in high school, focusing on Spidey handling the awkward teenage life and saving the world after class.
Rumors are also speculating about the new actor being considered for the role like Logan Lerman from the Percy Jackson movies and Dylan O'Brien from The Maze Runner. News spread that although Garfield had done a remarkable job playing the hero, but he could no longer pull off a teenager role.
