By

It seems that Samsung is going to redeem its name this time in the smartphone category, as it unveils the latest Galaxy S6 phones at the recent Mobile World Congress. The new Galaxy S6 and Samsung Galaxy S6 Edge specs were introduced with everything fresh about them from inside and out.

While the two newcomers share many of their specs, some tech analyst began to compare the Galaxy S6 Edge to the iPhone 6 Plus. Though this may not be pleasant to some Samsung phone users, many believe that the latest Samsung smartphone is a worthy contender for the iPhone 6 Plus.

Samsung Galaxy S6 Edge Specs

Samsung Galaxy S6 Edge Specs includes a dual-edge front display and has a Gorilla Glass 4 cover on both front and back part of the device. The device measures 142.1mm long, 70.1mm wide and 7mm thick.

Under the hood, the device sports an Exynos 7420, 64-bit Quad-core 1.5 GHz Cortex-A53 or a Quad-core 2.1 GHz Cortex-A5, 3GB RAM, and 32/64/128GB internal storage options with no microSD expansion. As for connectivity, it offers an infrared port, Wi-Fi 802.11 a/b/g/n/ac, Wi-Fi Direct, hotspot, dual-band, and Bluetooth LE. The iPhone 6 Plus Features

When it comes to size, the iPhone 6 Plus would have to be bigger, as it measures 158.1mm long, 77.8mm wide, and 7.1mm thick. It comes with an ionized cover glass with rounded edges and curves that flawlessly goes with the anodized aluminum casing at the back.

Performancewise, the device runs on an A8 chip with 64-bit architecture, M8 motion coprocessor, and has a pre-installed iOS 8. The iPhone 6 Plus comes with a 16/64/128GB storage selection with no microSD expansion.

The iPhone 6Plus’s connectivity package includes a Bluetooth 4.0, dual-band, 802.11 a/b/g/n/ac Wi-Fi, as well as Wi-Fi hotspot. Other features include an 8MP iSight camera and a built-in lithium-ion battery that can last up to 384 hours on standby mode.

Which One Is Better?

There’s no doubt that Apple have dominated Samsung over sales for the past months since the release of its iPhone 6 Plus. However, it seems that the Korean-based tech animal has stirred up into action once more with its new and improved Samsung Galaxy S6 Edge specs. Consumers should expect a great competition on the market like they’ve never witnessed before once the Galaxy S6 phones goes out of the market this April.
