A slew of superhero movies are about to conquer the cinema screens starting next year, and by the rate of how events in the cinematic world are growing, there seems to hype and a fad for movies based from comic books in the next five to eight years.
One of DC's biggest comic hero is Aquaman and a standalone movie about the superhero is slated to be released this coming 2018. Jason Momoa, well-known for his characters in the Game of Thrones and Conan the Barbarian lands on the lead role and will be carrying the might trident of Neptune proud and loud in the movie screens.
It's very exciting to see one of the Justice League members to step out of his shadows and show the world what he's really made of in a solo movie. The Aquaman is well-known to possess telepathic abilities, has super-human strength, can summon marine life and possess the powerful Trident that is capable of cutting the skin of Superman. Is there a possibility of a cameo role for Superman in the upcoming movie?
Aquaman was already introduced in a cameo role in the movie Batman vs Superman: Dawn of Justice. DC and Warner Brothers are on the verge of "Uniting the Seven" and Aquaman will serve as the catalyst that will bring Superman, Batman, Wonder Woman, Cyborg, The Flash and Shazam all together as a team in one explosive movie. It looks like the Marvel Cinematic Universe has an upcoming rival in the cinemas in the coming years. A team-up of these superheroes are expected to be released by November 2017 and will go under the title of Justice League Part One.
A "Suicide Squad" movie is also slated to be released any time soon by Warner Brothers Pictures. The villains of the DC Universe are teaming up together in one movie.
