The rise of Microsoft's flagship device Surface Pro line is iconic; being the ultimate laptop-tablet hybrid. It is dubbed to rival MacBook and currently, Surface Pro 3 is the best selling tablet as announced during the 2015 Mobile World Congress. This distinction makes the world crave for the glimpse of Microsoft's newest installment with the Surface Pro Series.
Early this year, according to PCPro, Microsoft is set to release two editions of Surface Pro 4 tablet; one with 12 inches and the other one with 14 inches. Both editions run on a Windows 10 OS, with a 2560 x 1440 resolution, maximum internal storage of 1 TB and 16 GB of RAM. This report from PCPro is closely confirmed by another source.
Furthermore, EcumenicalNews reveals that Microsoft decided to forgo power proficiency as Surface Pro 4 is rumored to run on Intel's novel Broadwell chip, particularly the Broadwell M. This switch lowers energy consumption for roughly 30% but decreases its power in general as well.
One of the greatest speculations about Surface Pro 4 is being as good as Apple's MacBook Air. Rumors about Surface Pro star in a recent article by InternationalBusinessTimes tell that it will come with a 13-inch display, with an Intel Core i5, Intel HD 6000 graphics with the standard, 4 GB RAM.
Many guess that with the above mentioned specs and components, Surface Pro 4 does not only rival Apple but another industry giant, Dell's XPS 13.
EcumenicalNews adds that, Microsoft is fixed to release Surface Pro 4 during the second half of this year. Furthermore, there is also a possibility that Microsoft introduces a Surface Pro Mini version powered by Intel Atom 64-bit CPU or by the newer processor, Cherry Trail. Although there is very limited knowledge about this new processor, Cherry Trail allows "low-end" laptops, tablets and hybrid of both, allow demanding tasks such as video editing and recording reports PCPro.
