Fan favourite drama Beauty and the Beast promises very intense scenes in Season 3 which will air on May 21. The third season will have 13-episodes. CW series executive producer, Brad Kern said in an interview with The Hollywood Reporter that Season 3 would focus on Catherine and Vincent's love.
"Now that we have the loyal audience, the goal is to make it more Cat-Vincent centric," he said. "We'll continue to build the mythology. Everything else will service and work around that love."
With no more Muirfield, manhunts, and beasts in the scene, Cat (Kristin Kreuk) and Vincent (Jay Ryan) tries to build a new and normal life together in Season 3. However, their trust and love for each will be tested anew as they uncover a deeper conspiracy. Where Vincent has to risk his life and Cat's love by unleashing the beast within.
E! Online reported that one of the prime characters will be in a life-and-death situation. The report went on to that it might involved Cat or Vincent. Director Stuart Gillard have already tweeted stills showing Vincent surrounded and being stopped by police in heavy gear and ready to fire. Gillard captioned the tweet "rooftop chase".
In season 3, Cat will have a new partner in episode 5. Tess (Nina Lissandro) would not be Catherine's partner anymore as she rejoins the NYPD. According to TVLine Cat will be partnering with Detective Harris who is his late twenties, a green cop, and is not that happy to work with the infamous Cat.
Spoiler TV also reported that Catherine, who continue to work on cases, is struggling to keep her identity and her obsession of putting Vincent first. Vincent resumes his work as a doctor after the suspension was lifted.
CW also announced the renewal of Season 4 in 2015-2016.
