Maxie takes center stage for this week's General Hospital as she struggles on her feeling for Nathan and Spinelli. Also, Silas reveals to Ava that her life is at risk and may die from her devastating condition.
Earlier, Nathan tells Maxie that their relationship is wobbling and may split up. She explains that the relationship cannot end simply because of a kiss she shared with Spinelli. It is further revealed that Nathan is jealous of the past both Maxie and Spinelli shares and still cannot get over it. Also, he further thinks he can help Maxie in her dilemma by walking away, "better this way" he adds. Maxie tries to clarify and it momentarily convinces Nathan that they can work things out; and just when the two of them shares a kiss, Spinelli arrives. Spinelli also makes clear in this week's General Hospital that he still has feeling for Maxie and declares, "Gods be my witness, this is not the end of Maxie and me".
Meanwhile, baby Avery's case remains an important aspect for this week's plot. Kiki decides what is best for Avery and convinces Morgan that handing the baby to Michael means they could lose her forever if they are caught by Sonny. Kiki is not persuaded nonetheless Morgan proceeds and confronts Sonny.
Michael threatens Sonny of kidnapping should he fail hand Avery to them but as expected, Sonny is firm that he'd "rather die in prison" than give her daughter.
The argument heats up when Kiki and Morgan butt in with Avery. They both explain that they brought the baby to attend Ava's funeral in New York; this makes Michael question why Sonny did not tell him the whole truth in the first place. As he demands that Avery is returned to him, Kiki highlights that it is best for her sister to be with her father and that she needs to be with her family.
This week episodes show how Michael reacts to Kiki's plea and if she can convince him of handing Avery to his real father, which Kiki thinks as Morgan.
Another significant turn in General Hospital this week is Silas' revelation to Ava. He confirms to her that he notices something odd in her blood and after he affirms his discovery he becomes certain that Ava has an advanced form of Non-Hodgkin's Lymphoma or cancer. How will this shock affect Ava's possible move to retrieve Avery?
