'Assassin's Creed Rogue' gets continuation of 'Black Flag' series in PS3, Xbox 360, PC? Rogue out with one-day patch

By

Just yesterday, Assassin's Creed announced about Rogue PC streaming via Twitch TV on March 11 through their official Twitter account. However, this new game series is just another same game from the previous Black Flag. Thus, nothing is really exciting about it though they released patches.

Assassin's Creed is an action-adventure packed game based from historical fiction, released in 2014. Ubisoft was able to release the game in the old generation consoles and PC. Though Ubisoft has announced yesterday about Rogue and its PC streaming which should have been exciting for players, it was otherwise.

Nothing is really interesting with the game except its new location. Other than that, none. Based from the game's reviews, Assassin's Creed Rogue is just another same game. It just happened that it is set in another location that might wonder or perhaps excite gamers.

However, several reasons were determined why this game is just nothing. First, according to them, "Assassin's Creed Rogue is fundamentally a redeployment of Black Flag's winning formula in a new location." That means, if the players have experienced the previous series, the Assassin's Creed IV: Black Flag released in 2013, it might not be as exciting in Rogue's gameplay.

Another area of disappointment is the lengthy opening of the game that reaches an hour or even two. This will definitely test a gamer's patience. One considerable thought from the gamer would be, how could they wait for that long for something unexciting plus graphics compatible for old-ageing consoles.

"It bears the crow's feet and laugh lines of a graphics engine optimised for an ageing consoles," they cited.

Aside from that, it can also be conclusive that Rogue is just a continuation of the previous series, as they have detailed about the Rogue's journey with the grabbing activities while manning the ships. These activities were already been visible from the previous.

In addition, one noticeable feature is the colloquial British accent of an Irishman Shay Cormac, which the player will take their roles upon a Templar expedition. This is one of the powerful and the winning formula from the previous to include in the upcoming Rogue.

There are also downsides of the gameplay as mentioned. They said that they have problems with the frustrating imprecise parkour control, the lukewarm stealth mechanics, the uninspired and repititive missions templates, might as well to include the boring 10-hour game tutorials.

However, on the brighter side, Rogue can offer players fresh context of the series as they could feel some addiction to the places where the gameplay could take them. One example are the best sceneries of the three maps: New York, River Valley, and North Atlantic.

Through its creative and valuable game design and storyline, as well as the combat and mission design, Assassin's Creed Rogue can still attract gamers to have this thrilling gaming experience.

Meanwhile, an announcement was made yesterday about Assassin's Creed Rogue PC stream on March 11 at 3pm EST via Twitch TV. There will be give-aways awaiting for the attendees.

Yet, gamers seemed not excited for this announcement. They're still asking about the game to release in the current-gen consoles. One tweet said, "Is there ANY chance this game will come out next gen? PLEASE!!!!"

With these inquiries from fans, no word from the game developers heard as of the moment.
