The press had a bit of a field day last weekend with British actor Theo James. What began as a truly harmless query from a correspondent resulted in a naughty response from The Divergent Series star.
Jessie Giddings of Eonline.com began the interview by saying that the actor has worked closely with her 23-year-old co-star Shailene Woodley since 2012 and asked him, "How have you seen her grow?" The 30-year-old heartthrob teasingly answered that one of the things that he noticed which swiftly grew on Woodley was her "rack" of which he followed by a suggestive hand gesture and a chuckle.
James immediately took a serious note, "Have I seen her grow? I mean, yeah." Woodley who plays Beatrice "Tris" Prior in the film, "has changed a lot, in a good way and has really grown into a woman since then, and it's not actually that long period of a time." James summed it all up.
Insurgent, which is a sequel to 2014's Divergent, will also mark James' and Woodley's first intimate sex scene. The actor again heartily jested that "there's a director's cut" and "sometimes booze helps if it's really hardcore". What actually made it really awkward for James was the part of the shooting process when "something has to be tweaked" and "you're completely naked and covered in sweat".
On the other hand, it was a contrasting point of view as Woodley, divulged that she didn't mind being nude in front of the camera. "I don't know if it's necessarily confidence as much as just like we all have bodies under these clothes," she explained. The actress further stated, "I'm very European in that way," and that hindering the ordinariness of sexuality, of which is a daily part of life will only lead to ways in which we actually will not satisfy our needs.
Both actress and actor however, had encountered a lot of minor bruises and accidentally gotten hit from the stunts and fight scenes. The dystopian romance action movie will be shown in Theaters on the 20th of March.
