Nick Gordon's interview-turned-intervention with Dr. Phil revealed more questions rather answers.
In the much anticipated first ever interview of Nick Gordon, he was not able to relate why Bobbi Kristina Brown ended up facedown and unconscious in her bathtub, but instead expressed his guilt over the tragic event.
Gordon tried to recount his side of the story, but he was so distraught and intoxicated. His mother, Michelle, narrated what Gordon told him about what happened before the January 31 tragedy.
According to Michele, on January 30, the night before Bobbi Kristina, 22, was found facedown in her bathtub, she, Nick and their friend Max Lomas went out to have a few drinks. When they returned to Bobbi Kristina's home in Roswell, Georgia, she and Nick got into an intense argument which made Gordon walked away and sleep in another room.
"Nick walked away from the argument and went to another bedroom to fall asleep. Bobbi went to her own room to draw a bubble bath," recounted Michele.
Gordon and Lomas only searched for Bobbi Kristina when the cable repair guy arrived. Lomas found her and pulled her out of the bathtub. Michelle also said that Gordon, 25, tried CPR to revive Bobbi Kristina until the paramedics arrived.
During the emotionally charged interview, Gordon broke down and in between sobs, admitted that he feels guilty about Bobbi Kristina, who remains on life support on Emory University Hospital in Atlanta, Georgia. He even told Dr. Phil that he is the one to blame if Bobbi Kristina dies.
Gordon's mother revealed he attempted suicide by taking Xanax two weeks before the interview. "He has blamed himself for the condition she's in," said Michelle. "He has said to me many times that he is going to kill himself. Two weeks ago, he tried. But he was able to throw up the pills."
Gordon also defended himself against allegations that he's the one responsible for Bobbi Kristina's hospitalization. "I love everybody. I would never hurt anybody," he said. "I want to let all you guys know I did everything possible in the world to protect them," he added.
When Dr. Phil promised to send a helicopter to bring Gordon to Bobbi Kristina's bedside if she woke up and called his name, Gordon agreed to go to rehab at the end of the interview. He was reported to check into a rehab facility on March 6.
