iPhone 6S is certainly Apple's next big thing after Apple Watch and the gorgeous 12-inch Retina MacBook which both starred their Spring Forward held earlier this week. After the successful launch, several speculations surfaced about the new iPhone's features. To date only one of these gossips is confirmed -- its ultrafast LTE modem powered by Intel®.
This confirmation sparks questions on the supplier shift from Qualcomm to Intel. Many propose answer but it is quite obvious, says one site, that all boils down to performance and innovation. Also, Apple analyst Ben Bajarin foresees that this supplier change is most likely long-term and he does not see Apple releasing different iPHone models.
"Apple is always going to choose the supplier who can provide them the most amount of capability and innovation for them to build on, for them to innovate. They're a company based on innovation. Our job is to continue to deliver parts that have that capability, that are better than our competitors, and then they want to use our parts." Comments Intel® CEO Brian Krzanich in an interview with CNBC.
The XMM 7630 chip allows for a mobile download speed of up to 450mbps aside and the design is also compatible with most of the LTE bands around the globe. In particular, one of Apple's biggest markets outside the United States is China and XMM 7630 fits perfectly with the country's TD-SCDMA connection.
Aside from the innovations in the internet connection, The Wall Street Journal reports that the new iPhone employs the ForceTouch technology. This feature allows a screen that does not only recognize touch, taps or swipes but also the pressure of motions of the user. Moreover, Apple is reportedly considering to release a pink iPhone 6S, though rumors are silent if there are changes in the phone's screen size
iPhone 6S is most likely to hit the market by September or October this year.
