“Mighty Morphin Power Rangers” Cast, Movie Updates: An all-star cast for 2016 postpone? Fan made video creates bad publicity for the movie?

By

The "Mighty Morphin Power Rangers" movie is yet to be filmed for its mid-2016 release and yet many rumors surrounding the return of this all-time children television series are already spreading online. Several popular stars are already revealed to be potentially playing a role in the series. Unfortunately, a fan made clip of the series has already surfaced online and may potentially affect the progress of the production and filming of the movie.

Saban Brands and the creators of the unofficial Power Rangers movie may have already agreed on the distribution of the said clip, but this does not ensure that it will not affect the box-office performance of the upcoming Lionsgate and Saban Brands collaboration.

"The irony here is that I wouldn't even want to make Power Rangers: The Movie for real," said video clip director Joseph Khan. "If I had to make a Power Rangers movie, this is it. It's 14 minutes long and it's violent and this is what I have in me."

The said clip is produced by Andi Shankar, the man behind the movie The Grey and Liam Neeson's A Walk Among the Tombstones. The movie even starred Dawson Creek's James Van Der Beek and Battlestar Galactica's Katee Sackoff.

The grim and quite dark version of the children television series was recently removed from Youtube after several complaints received from Saban. The two parties have already agreed to add a "unofficial" excerpt in the video clips credits, but that does not guarantee a positive or negative effect on the upcoming reboot of the series.

Meanwhile, the real "Mighty Morphin Power Rangers" movie will be under Lionsgate and Saban Entertainment and is set to be released on cinemas this coming July 22, 2016. Several names has already been speculated to be part of the movie. This include Chloe Grace Moretz, Liam Hemsworth, Merylt Streey, Taylor Lautner, Jamie Chung, Jack Gleeson and Roshon Freegan.

Jason David Frank, the famous Red Ranger might actually be playing a cameo on the movie as well.
