The race to unmask the real killer of Austin (Matthew Atkinson) will take an even darker turn before "The Young and the Restless" pauses for the weekend, spoilers suggest. A video supposedly recovered by Kevin in Austin’s laptop revealed that he was on a crusade to bring down some of the worst inhabitants of Genoa City. In the video, Austin vowed to expose the corruption and other abuses by the city’s most influential, namely the Abbots and the Newmans.
As Kevin, Kyle and Summer (Hunter King) watch the video of Austin angrily ranting away, his true nature dawns upon them. Summer wonders why she had been so blind all along, when all this took place right under her nose. Mariah then enters the scene and takes the opportunity to take a dig at Summer for her failure to see what was really going on with Austin, the same spoilers reveal. Summer apparently didn’t know him at all!
Elsewhere, expect that the somewhat stalled relationship between Jack (Peter Bergman) and Phyllis (Gina Tognoni) to go full steam ahead once again. Phyllis will put his ring back on her finger and declare that they will push through with the wedding. “It’s official,” she will exclaim. However, she will also tell him that she would need more than a month to make all the necessary preparations. Jack will express his eagerness to marry her before the end of April.
Other teasers indicate that Adam (Justin Hartley) will be spiraling downward before the week’s drama is through. This will begin following yet another heated argument with Sage (Kelly Sullivan), who at some point will express her desire to end their marriage. She further adds insult to injury when she tells him that she wanted to marry Gabriel all along. She also tells him to come clean about his feelings about Chelsea (Melissa Claire Egan). Later, Adam runs into Chelsea, and he takes the opportunity to tell her that he will be the best man at her wedding with Gabriel. Adam then drowns his sorrows with alcohol.
